Thursday Giveaway: The One Year Bible

This week we’re giving away a copy of The One Year Bible NLT, Slimline Edition.

Here’s some info on this bible and how you can win a copy.

The One Year Bible makes reading through the Bible achievable with daily 15-minute readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. The #1-selling daily reading Bible is now available in this new slim and stylish binding, with an inspirational cover featuring the names of God.

The New Living Translation is an authoritative Bible translation, rendered faithfully into today’s English from the ancient texts by 90 leading Bible scholars. Many times I have told myself that I would read the bible, front-to-back, and have never found the right ‘program’. In the last year I have come to know and love the NLT and I believe that this bible will assist me in my endeavor.

I made up a schedule for my family to follow to get through the bible and it is working but jumps from one book to another. I made it up on my own but it’s kind of hard to follow. If I had this book, we could use it as the readings are already set for us. It’ll definitely help my family and I read the entire bible for the first time.

The One Year Bible is a great tool to help you stay on track with reading from the Bible every day. Our church promotes the NLT so this would be a great Bible to own.

My daughter is a Christian but hasnt been to church since her brother & his family emigrated to Australia 3 years ago.
I know she would love to get back on track & I feel The one year bible would really help her do that

This would be great because the readings wouldn’t be seperate from the Bible where I’d have to find another book or sheet of paper to tell me what I was suppossed to read that day!

The first four chapters of the Old Testament have fallen out of my bible, but I just can’t seem to find one that I like as well! Would to win and start following this one =)

I am an international student attending a small church in sydney. Recently my pastor is sick and hospitalised, so there is no one to lead the bible study. My leaders and I are struggling to go on with our weekly bible studies by sharing our testimonies and passages from our quiet time; but i feel to encourage everyone to read and understand/apply God’s word for themself, we should do a more systematic reading of the word of God, therefore the One Year Bible would be very helpful to our church members. Thank you.

I have my “favorite” sections of the Bible, but there are parts that I never seem to get to or to complete. I need the structured discipline of a “plan”! This translation is so understandable: maybe I will finally read “everything”!

I don’t know that my answer will differ from the ones you already have, but here goes! 🙂 It is just great to know that there is the set “reading” for the day, knowing you can read and find some direction to dig into. Sometimes, in some of the books, the reading isn’t the issue, but it’s how to apply what I am reading. This is a great giveaway!!

This is a great opportunity for me to have a copy of the new NLT.

My daughter who migrated to the US gave me her NLT Bible and by the power of the Holy Spirit I easily understand the message of every verse that I read from the NLT. More so with the explanations of what the verse means in every page, My NLT Bible is a great help during our weekly discussions with members of our Small Bible Study Group in our church. The insights and perspectives that the NLT provides is truly a blessing to all of the members of our Bible Study Group and to all of us in our family. Thank you Lord for the NLT…

I faultered. I got what I wanted from God (2 beautiful kids), and forgot my promises. I am trying to find my way back to him and teach my kids how to be good Christians. The bibles I can afford are written so none of us can understand them. How can we learn the word, when we don’t understand it? Please, it would mean the world to me to be blessed with this bible. If you have one written the same, but not as “pretty” I would gladly accept that as well! Thank you and God Bless you!

Hi there… my aunt gave me a copy of the Living Bible several years ago with a daily reading plan w/selections from the old and new testaments, plus a psalm and one or two verses from Proverbs. So I’d begin reading and then get bogged down in Leviticus which is hard to understand anyway. My main problem is falling behind in the reading and get discouraged, totally lose interest. My hope is that the NLT will keep me focused and engaged in what I’m reading so that I won’t lose interest or get discouraged. Thanks for having this giveaway and good luck to everyone here who commented. 🙂

This Bible would help me tremendously in my endeavor to get closer to God after years of depression and being heartbroken.I have tried to read many bibles, but put them down due to lack of really having the word in such a way that I can effectively apply it to my life. God lead me to enter, because He and I both know I need this bible badly! I need all the pain, hurt and now anger to go away and I need the adequate tools to be able to do that!
