I really like this great book, and the NLT version (even though I’m not native speaker). If I get it, I will present it to my friend to help them connect with God!

1 Corinthians 4:10-13
New Living Translation (NLT)

10 Our dedication to Christ makes us look like fools, but you claim to be so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are so powerful! You are honored, but we are ridiculed. 11 Even now we go hungry and thirsty, and we don’t have enough clothes to keep warm. We are often beaten and have no home. 12 We work wearily with our own hands to earn our living. We bless those who curse us. We are patient with those who abuse us. 13 We appeal gently when evil things are said about us. Yet we are treated like the world’s garbage, like everybody’s trash—right up to the present moment.

I just have a question. Which ones of the NLT Bible has the least amount of ‘bleed through’ so one can actually read the Bible for a while without ones eyes getting tired. i.e., which one looks most like a typical book one buys in the book store that you can’t see the text on the other side of the page.

The best I’ve found so far is the water-proof Bible and the One Year New Testament for Busy Dads.

Thanks!

Psalm 139

For the choir director: A psalm of David.

1 O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
3 You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
5 You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand!

I already possted the verse on my Facebook status and tagged you as well.

If I win this Bible it will be the First time I win something, I am truly hoping I do because I have been feeling this anxiety to know about God through and through, but ever since I graduated from College , although I have 4 different degrees, no one hires me, and I want a study bible, because I truly want to know scripture, and not just based my self on what others say, but solely the bible

I posted Matthew 6:19-21.

I’ve posted it before, but every day I’m constantly saying it to myself. I know what its like to go without and I’ve been having trouble letting go of “things”; kids’ toys, clothes… I’m getting better knowing that all I need, God will provide and this “stuff” on earth won’t come with me. The passage is a constant reminder that I can let go, stop filling my house, and have simpler surroundings.

I shared it today…Philippians 2: 13 NLT “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” This is my life verse. You see it in my emails. I can only live this life when I remember that God gives me all I need to live a life for Him, pleasing Him. This keeps me going. I can have no excuse before God, I can never say ” I cannot do it, Lord, it is too difficult.” It is God who …is working in me to want to do and have the power to do what pleases Him. Lord, I thank you that you have given me everything under heaven to be the woman You want me to be. Help me as I try to live this life to do what you want me to do. It is difficult, and very tiring and sometimes discouraging. With You, I must never give up. Thank You, Lord. Go to http://www.nltblog.com and visit the NLT facebook page.

Genesis 1:1-Revelation 22:21 It’s all good in the New Living Translation Study Bible. Easy to understand, lots of great notes, maps, timelines, and pictures to help make “The Truth Made Clear.” @New Living Translation. The entire Bible is the written voice of God. So all of the scriptures are my favorite.
