and done.

My daughter actually got me hooked on the NLT. I am not bashful in stating that because of the NLT, my devotional reading was saved. While I like the 2007 edition, and find the NLT SB to be top notch, I like Phil 2 in the 1996 version (and the fact that the 1996 version has an edition with the Deuterocanons – Yes, I have a copy of that version).

Posted my favorite verse – Galatians 2:20!

1st September, 2011 at 3:18 pm

I posted a comment about the NLT on your Facebook page:

“I have enjoyed the NLT for a few years now, and I’ve made the Life Application Study Bible my “go to” Bible to carry with me. It is easy to read, understandable, and yet I can go back to older translations or more formal translations and still see how the NLT captures the essence of the verses. I do wish that the NLT had the Apocrypha (if there is one, I haven’t found it), but it is one of my two favorite translations.”

I would love to be entered for an NLT Parallel Bible.

I have friends who prefer nlt, because it is easier to understand than King James. King James is confusing to them.
I use all word for m growth of understanding the LORD.
Thank you, David

I would like to become more involved with a personal Bible study. Of course, I would need an easy to understand Bible. I would like to have the chance to read and study the NLT version. Thank you for considering me.

Got a Living Bible in June ’71 (and still have it). Currently using NLT on my Kindle. Also great:

I posted on FB about my experiences with the NLT.

1 Cor 4:3-4
3 As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point. 4 My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.

We use the NLT at Community Bible Church in San Antonio. I havealways used the RSV and then the ESV. I have found that teaching with the NLT ensures a better understanding than other versions. This year I have been reading the One Year Chronological NLT and have found that it has given me a greater understanding of the interrelationships between the history and the prophets in the OT. Posted to Facebook…

I left a comment on the Facebook page a minute ago. It was rather lengthy, thought I tried to pare it down. I suppose it wasn’t until I started writing there that I realized the full effect of the NLT in my life. Thanks for this opportunity!

I am so thankful that I was introduced to the NLT translation. I understand scripture better than I ever had and it makes me want to read more in God’s word. I left my favorite verse over on NLT’s Facebook page.

I posted on FB:
My favorite verse is Ephesians 4:2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

After being away from God for 30 years NLT was the first bible I started reading.

I posted on FB and commented how the NLT used the word ‘utensil’ in 2Tim 2:20-21. I think back to holiday meals growing up when my mother would bring out the good silverware for special occasions. My mother would use the silverware to serve the food (which was the primary focus of the meal). In this passage, God purpose is still primary, but when we keep ourselves pure, He will use us in some way in serving that purpose.

I am reading through Romans thanks for a clear rendering of the Lord’s words in this time and days. Paul’s letters have been opened with light. R. Ross

posted on the FB page!

‎”2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

I’ve been in church my entire life, grew up with the KJV, then in high school used the NIV more – when I read a verse in NLT about 4 years ago, it was like reading it for the 1st time in how deeply it struck my heart… My husband and I both primarily use NLT now, it just seems to be the clearest translation we’ve read.”

I posted on FB page… I remember in Bible College, my professor, who was one of the translators, telling me about it that it would one day come out. He was working on it then. I patiently waited… then pounced. hahaha. I knew with him on the translation committee, that it would be done right. 🙂 Thank you for deepening my walk with the Lord.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. Hebrews 4:12-13

ACTS 20:24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the lord Jesus-the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. I currently use only my NLT bible, I used to never read let alone the bible. I wasent even in church 2 years ago, to be honest I was likely in a bar. God has delivered me from my past and today I can confidently say the one man is dead. I purchased my NlT bible and it has transformed me. I’ve been called to ministry and know God has great plans to use me. I would really like and very much use this study bible. Thanks!!
