Great overview of the English (and American) Bible translations and encouraging recommendation to pick your own translation and study it! Nice!

The NLT translation is great, with the exception of its EXTREME overuse of exclamation points. It changes the entire tone of many passages in a totally unwarranted way. There a literally dozens, perhaps hundreds of examples, and I will provide just one here. Mathew 20: 20-23. The totally unnecessary use of exclamation points almost make this passage sound like an argument…when in actuality there is no reason to believe that was the actual tone at all.The other translations use a simple period for one reason: it is appropriate. They are right. You are wrong.
