“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55)
Ah to be alive. I wonder how it felt for the ladies saw two angels at the empty tomb of Jesus. “He is not here, he is risen!” Those famous phrases said at Easter time throughout the church ring in my head as I type those words. “He is risen.” “He is risen indeed.”
Praise God for new mercies every morning (Lamentations 3:23). Weeping may remain for the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). The sting of death and the power of sin no longer have a pull or stronghold (1 Corinthians 15:57). We can take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and no longer live in a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and self-discipline (2 Corinthians 10:5 & 2 Timothy 1:7).
I celebrate life this Easter season. Thank You for the gift that is Your Son, Jesus Christ. Praise God! Praise God! Praise God! Thank You for healing and saving me!! Amen.
