The New Living Translation
It Is Finished

And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children (Revelation 21:5-7, NLT).

I was three days away from reading through the entire Bible when I came upon this passage of Scripture. Something about it just clicked. “It is finished.” No matter what you or I face today, this week, or next year–the God who rose victoriously from the grave is the same God who can be trusted with every circumstance we face in our daily lives.

Our lives are so full of UNfinished things – half -started projects, partial conversations, acquaintances that don’t quite tirn into friendships. Isn’t it great to know that God’s work is already finished?
