The New Living Translation
Intoducing the New Chronological Life Application Study Bible!

The Bible is the story of God’s interaction with his creation. It is a story that occurs over time, in many places, and through many events. It includes the lives and lessons learned by many people from many cultures. It’s often easy to lose sight of the way in which God’s story fits together when our primary way of looking at the Bible is a bit here and a bit there.

The new four-color Chronological Life Application Study Bible combines the proven resources of the Life Application Study Bible with a chronological format and several brand-new resources. The Bible is arranged in 10 chronological sections that help the reader to see how the various pieces of the Bible fit together. New section intros and timelines set the stage for the passages in each section. New archaeological notes and photographs help to bring God’s story to life in a whole new way. And of course, the Life Application resources answer the all-important question—“so what?”

Because this Bible releases next month, for the next few weeks we’re going to be walking you through some of the features this Bible has to offer.

Chronological Format

Experience the sweep of God’s story by reading it in the order that it happened.

– The chronological format breaks the books of the Bible into 10 major eras, intermingling the Scriptures into a single, unified story. This unique viewpoint gives fresh and exciting insights.

– Three kinds of timelines show the order of events and how they fit into the larger world: the master timeline, detailed interior timelines in the section introductions and other appropriate places, and a running timeline in the outside margins.

– Find any passage quickly with the Canonical Table of Contents.

– A Chronological Survey of the Bible gives a quick overview of the entire story era by era.

I can’t wait to get this Bible. I love the NLT anyway, and now to have it in chronological order with so much other info. is going to be great. Thanks for your hard work in making this available.
