Have an iPad? NLT on YouVersion for iPad

Right after I announced that the availability of the NLT for download in YouVersion was about to end, Tyndale and YouVersion decided to extend the offer for another 30 days to accomodate all of the new iPad owners. YouVersion has a classy HD app for the iPad and until May 5 you can download the NLT to use in this app. Your download won’t expire after that time, but if you try to download it after then, you will be out of luck.

Don’t have an iPad? Check out the NLT on Facebook for a chance to win one! (click on the “sweepstakes” tab)

Although I ordered an iPad some time ago, it probably won’t arrive until after May 5. Could the download be extended a brief while more?

You must get NLT back available for offline on youversion! I had to reset my ipod touch because of an issue and now I’ve lost NLT.

I love NLT and it is going to be really tough not having it on my ipod!

NLT needs to create its own app, rather than relying on third-party Bible readers. Youversion is great, but the native ESV app provides so many necessary features (such as note-taking) that YV can’t touch. I would love it if Tyndale would release one.

I agree with Jiho.

I also had to restore my iPod Touch, and although the program was backed up, the downloaded versions weren’t, so I’m stuck without my favorite NLT within YouVersion unless (until?) you decide to open it back up again.

Please do.

I agree. I would love for the NLT to be available for iPhone and iPad download.

Any chance this happening again (to download the NLT for the youversion Bible app). Realized when I was out of the country recently that I had lost the offline version. I love this translation.

I would like to have it now, as this is a world class bible.6

I would like to have in now too. It is all my minister uses when preaching, yet he bounces from version to version for different translations. NLT is the only version I can’t follow along with while offline.

It would be wonderful if the NLT for YouVersion Bible App would be made available again as a download for offline use. This is the only version our pastor uses when preaching and we are unable to follow along while offline.
