The New Living Translation
An Open Door?

“But Israel violated the instructions about the things set apart for the Lord. A man named Achan had stolen some of these dedicated things, so the Lord was very angry with the Israelites” (Joshua 7:1a).

Sometimes, God opens doors and moves us out because there’s sin in the camp. Believe it or not, the choices of people around you affect you, which can sometimes make you feel trapped. Don’t be afraid. Stand firm because God knows (Exodus 14:13).

If your life is crashing down upon you and you’re not sure what to do or where to go–trust and obey. God will lead you safely through, whether it’s giving you a way out or a place to stand.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for your gracious love and mercy. Even when we fall, your open arms are there to pick us up when we fall. Amen.

God does indeed open doors for us and no man can close them. It’s ironic that the demonic kingdom can seem to provide open doors too and they in fact can set up strongholds through doors that we open. The whole concept of open doors has very broad implcations and applications.
