Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me (2 Corinthians 12:9, NLT).
Last month I attended a conference in Dallas called the Right Now Conference. Speakers and guests from around the world challenged me in my faith. Their mission statement says, “To help people trade in the pursuit of the American Dream for a world that desperately needs Christ.” That’s a lofty goal, and we need good models to follow if we are going to be that kind of person.
Thankfully, the Bible points out one man in particular. All Paul needed was Christ. It may have come through His pain, but Jesus was enough. I don’t know about you, but I want to be counted as one who needs only Him–even if that means giving up everything I have so Christ can work through me, weakness and all.
